“When The Stars Gossip”

Stars Gossip

When The Stars Gossip hits Netflix in 2025 and it’s the first big Korean drama of the year. Lee Min-Ho is back as Dr. Gong Ryong, a space tourist on a groundbreaking mission from South Korea. The show’s written by Seo Sook-Hyang, who’s made some hits like Something In The Rain and The Heirs. Lee Min-Ho stars opposite Gong Hyo-Jin, and fans are excited to see him back in a Korean drama after five long years. His last show, Pachinko, was a massive hit. Here’s what we think about When The Stars Gossip.

Bollywood Storytelling

If you’re a fan of Bollywood storytelling, you’re gonna love When The Stars Gossip. It’s packed with humor, drama, and that melodramatic flair that many desi viewers enjoy. You might even get a vibe reminiscent of some fun David Dhawan films. Lee Min-Ho plays Dr. Gong Ryong, a gynaecologist who has a passion for delivering babies. Then, he meets the wealthy heiress Choi Go-Eun and ends up saving her life by terminating her pregnancy. Sparks fly after a steamy night together, but there’s a twist: his chaebol father-in-law says he can only marry her if he can expand the Choi family lineage in a wild way.

Romantic Love Triangle

Lee Min-Ho shines as Dr. Gong Ryong. He’s super charming and has great comedic timing. Gong Hyo-Jin is fantastic as Commander Eve, and you can tell she’s enjoying her role as an astronaut. Han Ji-Eun looks fabulous, and Alex Hafner is solid as Santiago Gonzalez, the foreign crew member. Instead of the usual setting, this love triangle unfolds in a space station, which is pretty cool. The cinematography is attention-grabbing, and the soundtrack really hits the right notes too. With its unique space angle, a lot of folks will be curious to check out When The Stars Gossip.

Some hardcore Korean drama fans might have mixed feelings about the love story between Ryong and Go-Eun kicking off with a passionate night. There’s not much of that longing vibe that’s common in many dramas, which could be a turnoff for some. Plus, the VFX seems a bit inconsistent, especially considering the show’s big budget.

Viewers will probably get a kick out of the quirky concept of When The Stars Gossip. It’s got humor, melodrama, and leads that can act and look good while doing it.
