Kate is Herself Again
A royal expert says that just a year after sharing her cancer news, Kate Middleton is back to feeling like herself again. The Princess of Wales, who told everyone in January that she’s in remission, attended her first public event with Prince William since her health scare.
They visited Pontypridd Market in Wales to chat with local business owners about the flooding from the recent storms. The couple even helped out by baking some Welsh Cakes to celebrate St. David’s Day on March 1.
Royal expert Jennie Bond mentioned that the warm welcome Kate received shows she truly is the shining star of the family. She told OK! Magazine that the emotional ups and downs of the past year have brought Kate and William even closer together.
“It looks to me like they’ve come out stronger than ever, and they were already such a loving couple,” she said.
“In that moment Catherine shared at the end of her treatment, you could really see the love and support they have for one another and their kids.”
Kate has a busy schedule lined up in the next few months and seems excited to jump back into work.
Prince William is a rock for Kate Middleton
While they were in Wales, she was spotted holding her husband’s hand at a train station, which was a sweet show of affection. The crowd was clearly thrilled to see her back in good health after spending a year focusing on her recovery.
Princess Kate joined Prince William on a market visit in Wales, marking her first big outing since returning to her royal duties after her battle with cancer. Jennie added, “Catherine looks amazing and seems to be enjoying every event.”
It really seems like she’s got her confidence back, and while we know her return to royal duties is a gradual process, we’re seeing her more than many of us expected by this time of year.
The warm welcomes she gets everywhere must remind her that she’s definitely the shining star of the royal family. Having completed her chemotherapy in September, the princess reflected on how the experience has changed her.
“Life can flip upside down in an instant, and we’ve had to find our way through tough times and uncertain paths,” she said.
