Angelina Jolie is said to be pretty upset about not getting an Oscar nod for her role as Maria Callas and thinks there are a bunch of reasons behind it. She suspects that Brad Pitt may have influenced Hollywood to be against her. There’s also some chatter that Jennifer Aniston might still have hard feelings, especially since some of Pitt’s fans think she’s got some clout in the industry.
Angelina Claims Hollywood Mill has vilified her
A report from RadarOnline says Angelina feels like Brad made her out to be the villain in their breakup, and she thinks he got away with it. Even after all these years since the affair, she still holds some resentment towards Jennifer Aniston, who’s got some strong connections in Hollywood. Most of Angelina’s frustration seems to be aimed at Pitt, as she believes he’s the one who spread nasty rumors about her, claiming she messed up his marriage to Aniston and treated him badly.
Angelina is also wary that Aniston and her Hollywood friends might be hurting her image, which could mess with her career. However, a source close to Brad has denied any claims that he talked trash about Angelina or roped Jennifer into it. Even though Jolie got a Golden Globe nomination, she lost to Fernanda Torres, which just added to her frustrations.
People close to her are saying she might think about stepping away from acting and focusing more on her humanitarian work because she feels like Hollywood isn’t really welcoming anymore. Apparently, she’s been wanting to get away from the superficial stuff for a while, and this latest Oscar snub might just be the final push she needed to seriously consider leaving the industry behind.
